Brockton High School mentoring program helps students beat the odds and excel in life

Raised in a heavily disadvantaged community and lacking in positive influences, Leandro Andrade says he had a low self-esteem that made college a questionable dream. Then came Friends and Mentors Inc., known as FAM, a mentoring program that provides mentorship and guidance to incoming students in the Brockton school system.
