Summer Institute

The Summer Institute offers a safe learning environment that encourages students to explore and showcase their passions, participate in team-building activities and reflective modules, and develop the necessary leadership skills to become active members in their school and community. The program aims to provide a supportive space for students to grow and learn. It will be held at North Woods Camp, Mirror Lake, NH. The camp offers opportunities for outdoor activities and fosters a sense of community.
WHO: Rising Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
WHEN: Monday, August 24th – Friday, August 28th
(Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided each day.)
WHERE: 119 Myrtle Street, Duxbury, MA 02332
Please meet by the flagpole near the Brockton High School gym on 8/24/2026 at 1:30 p.m. There will be a bus to transport everyone to Camp Wing.
Pickup: Friday, August 28th @ Brockton High School – 1:00 PM
Families should pick up their children at Brockton High School and then prepare for the Gala at 7:00 PM that evening.
- Reusable water bottle
- Sufficient clothing for all days (T-shirts, shorts, pants, long sleeve shirts, and pajamas)
- Towels
- Multiple sets of socks and undergarments
- Sneakers (Mandatory), Shower sandals
- Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, deodorant, shampoo, etc.)
- Medication
- Bedding is not provided. Many people use a sleeping bag, blanket, and bottom sheet on (twin size) camp beds, while others bring a complete set of sheets, blankets, and pillows.

- Soap and soap container
- On-the-go hand sanitizer
- Toothbrush and holder

- *There will be outlets available in bath houses and dining halls for those looking to charge their devices, but power banks are recommended *Electricity is available in the bathhouses, which guests will be sharing

SUMMER YOUTH GALA
On the last night of our Summer Institute, FAM hosts a summer youth gala, an annual event that aims to celebrate the talents and achievements of young people in our community. It is a fun and festive occasion that brings together young individuals from diverse backgrounds to share their experiences and inspire one another. The event will feature a 360 PhotoBooth, music, food and opportunities for networking and socializing. It’s a great way for the youth to connect with each other and contribute to the vibrant spirit of our community.
